Allah Is The One Who Heals

At one of teaching session, our guru teached his disciples that there have been a big difference between western medical science and eastern medical science which was developed first time by moslem scholars and medical experts.

In the western medical science, as we found mostly nowadays, is a medical science which based its efforts and healing process on the medicine and cares. Does not matter if the patience is an atehist or a believer, the healing process of western medical science truly believes that a disease can only be cured by medicine and cares. The western medical science believes that human is only a matter of creature which merely has a physical body, and each kind of disease is a matter of disturbance upon the body.

On the other hand, eastern medical science which was founded first time by ancient moslem scholars and medical experts, based its healing process on a truly faith and hope from Allah swt. Each kind of efforts and healing process are only a matter of creating support in curing the disease, and as a matter of fact the healing itself was a result of Decision and Provisions of Allah swt. In the eastern medical science, human is perceived as a physical and also spiritual being, so then any kind of healing process are merely the efforts to support for curing the physical aspect of human, while as for the holistic healing process involving physical and spiritual aspects of human will be done by the physics and spirits of human itself as a result of Decision and Provisions of Allah swt.

There had been an interresting story of Mousa as, when he was pursued by the Pharos’ army, he had stomach ache. Then Mousa as pleaded to Allah swt to heal his stomach ache, and Allah swt guided him to go up to a hill to find a tree with a particular leave and to swallow it to cure his ache. Then as he had not yet arrived at the tree, his ache has been cured. And then after for a while when he was about to continue his journey with his people, his stomach ache came again. Then instantly without pleading anything to Allah swt, he initiatively go up and come to the tree with a particular leave and then swallowed it. After he swallowed its leaves, apparently the stomach ache is still persist. Mousa as then complaining this to Allah swt why did the stomach ache still persists upon this way and it does not cured. Allah swt said to Mousa as, who did say that those leaves will be able to heal? It is I the one who is able to heal, Allah said.

This kind of story is aligned with the conclusion and statement made by Ibrahim as which was written in the Qoran.

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
“And when i am ill, it is He who cures me.” (QS 26:80)

So, that is what our teacher told to his disciples that we must come back to the previous belief and the previous healing ways as already founded by ancient moslem scholars and medical experts. Truly believe that the one who will heal us from disease is not doctor or medicine, but healing is merely the result of Decision and Provisions of Allah swt upon our efforts and endeavours.

And even if our belief is so strong, then we will be able to reveal a greater conclusion, that apparently the one who will heal from disease is Allah swt. No matter with or without our efforts, apparently the one who will heal from disease is Allah swt. That is a very accurate conclusion which was also similarly the conclusion derived by Ibrahim as and then its conclusion was engraved at one of the verse in the Qoran as written above. (AK/ST)
