How to Stop Natural Disasters
When this article was made, just a few time before there had been a big earthquake hit Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat province. Not only once or twice, the earthquake happens several times continously hit Lombok. The impact of this earthquake was more than 460 people killed during this natural disaster.
Have not yet finished with the earthquake at Lombok, then there had been other earthquakes hit on the other part of this country such as in Nias, Banten, Sukabumi, Ambon etc. It seems that natural disaster will still hit this country continously, endlessly.
Can we stop this natural disaster which continously hit us? The answer is Yes. How to stop these natural disasters? According to our guru, how to stop all of these natural disasters is by declaring simultaneously by MUI and ulema in this country that these natural disasters were punishments from Allah swt.
We need to reliaze that up today, MUI and all of ulema in this country considered that all of these natural disasters were a kind of calamity. Test from Allah swt. So as a result the moslem people in this country assume that they have been already at right position and nothing is wrong.
But if today MUI and all of ulema in this country simultaneously declare that all of these natural disasters were a kind of punishment from Allah swt, then it will impact to the people of this country to reliaze themselves from mistakes and sins, so then we all will ask forgiveness from Allah swt. Every moslem people will do istighfar to ask for forgivenes from Allah swt.
Why did Allah swt give punishment to Indonesian people? According to our guru, the answer is because the people of Indonesia actually have not yet believe. There were many sins and mistakes committed by the people and community leaders had been done. So that was why Allah swt gave punishment in order to remind the people of this country to repent and doing istighfar to ask for forgiveness, and get back to become believers, who obey to the instruction of Allah swt and His messengers.
وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَابًا شَدِيدًا وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا عَذَابًا نُكْرًا
“And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment.” (QS 65:8)
If we read and learn the contain of the Qoran, then it will be very clear that the message which was intended to be delivered from Allah swt, is if in case the people of a country are believers, then Allah swt will bestow His grace from heaven and earth. But, if the people of a country denying the signs from Allah swt then they will be hit by hard punishments. Indeed it is a simple formula and it is applied at the whole ages.
وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَىٰ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكَاتٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ
كَذَّبُوا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
“And if only the people of the countries had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning." (QS 7:96)
But unfortunately, today most of the people in this country feels that they have been at the righteous position. Because majority of the people are moslem, the people of this country thought that this nation had already being believers people all. Feeling that they have not need to ask for forgiveness. So then the consequency of this Allah swt seized the people of this country with punishment in order to make them reliazed. In order that ulema and community leaders reliazed. That all of us today must ask for forgiveness and doing many istighfar.
For the God’s sake, if the people of a country believe and obey, then Allah swt will surely bestow His Grace from heaven and earth for this country. Will Surely. And Allah will surely not seizing natural disasters to this country because the people have been believers. Will Surely. Let us prove this kind of believe. (AK/ST)
